Alyssa Estrella
Alyssa Estrella is a highly accomplished clarinetist, currently pursuing her master’s degree at Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music, where she is expected to graduate in May of 2025. She previously earned her Bachelor's Degree in Applied Music from the prestigious Eastman School of Music. Alyssa has extensive audition and performance experience, having served as a substitute musician with the New World Symphony since 2022. She has also been a finalist in numerous auditions over recent years. Her orchestral and chamber music experience is extensive, having appeared with the Tri-Cities Opera and as a clarinet fellow at the Brevard Music Center. Ms. Estrella has also participated in chamber music concerts with the Society for Chamber Music in Rochester. A dedicated and recognized performer, Alyssa was awarded the Most Outstanding Instrumentalist in the Sphinx Orchestral Partners Auditions (SOPA) competition earlier this year. Her early achievements include winning 3rd place in the International Clarinet Association’s High School Solo Competition in 2019 and being a finalist in the Eastman School of Music’s Concerto Competition the same year. In addition to her performance career, Alyssa is an enthusiastic educator. She has been a non-major faculty member at Rice University and previously worked as a teacher’s aide for young musicians at the Eastman Community Music School. With her impressive credentials and dedication to both performance and education, Ms. Estrella continues to establish herself as a rising clarinetist in the classical music world.
